Gabriel Macotela, painter

Gabriel Macotela is a Mexican artist who was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1954. He studied at the National School of Painting, Sculptures and Gravure (“La Esmeralda”) of the National Institute of Fine Arts and at the National School of Fine Arts of the National University of Mexico, There, he was invited to be a member of Gilberto Aceves Navarro’s workshop and later participated in numerous group exhibitions in Mexico, France, India, Cuba, Brazil, the United States, Germany and Spain.
