Irma Palacios, painter

Irma Palacios is a Mexican abstract painter born in 1943 who studied at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking, (“La Esmeralda”) in Mexico City.

She has received the Guggenheim Fellowship as well as numerous other awards.

Palacios has had solo exhibitions in important museums and galleries such as the Modern Art Museum in Mexico City, the Contemporary Art Museum in Oaxaca, the Chac-Mool Gallery in Los Angeles, and the Contemporary Art Museum of Yucatan in Mexico.
